Hi, I’m Steve.
I’m a passionate technologist with 10 years professional IT infrastructure experience working in financial services and a background in software and web development.
I’ve always loved all things tech; I wrote my first text adventure game in QBASIC in 1997 and spent my youth building websites and tinkering with PCs. I funded my Computer Science degree by developing and supporting websites and applications for small businesses.
I am an evangelist for technology and how it can improve people’s day to day lives, either through work or life at home; I’m obsessed with efficiency, automation and integration.
After graduating I moved into enterprise infrastructure and applications, where I have built up significant expertise in servers, networks and storage. Continuing my focus on developing for efficiency, I built and introduced new tools and integrated disparate applications to improve the throughput of my team.
I am a confident self-learner and problem-solver; fixing things comes naturally to me, and I constantly seek out new challenges to develop my skills and expertise.
I enjoy reading about the latest trends in infrastructure architecture and software development, with a particular interest in engineering for high performance and reliability.
